MUMBAI: The police on Saturday arrested Vijay Jadhav, the second accused in the 22-year-old photojournalist's gang-rape case, from Madanpur in central Mumbai.
The three accused remain absconding.
The Mumbai Police on Friday arrested one of the accused within 24 hours of the incident and identified four others, including two criminals.
City police commissioner Satya Pal Singh said the trial against the five accused, who gang-raped the photojournalist, will take place in a fast track court.
Singh said more than 20 teams, including 10 from the crime branch, have been pressed into service to track down the perpetrators.
The girl, who was reportedly on an assignment for photoshoot at Shakti Mills near Lower Parel on Thursday, was raped by five youths. Her male friend was assaulted by the accused, who tied him to a tree.
